Some things I agree with
(or not as the case may be)

EFF: No Broadcast Flag No Watermarks

Sunday, December 7
..."We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know."...

... A sample, a taster if you will, of the "Foot in Mouth" award-winning quote from a certain someone special. But more on that later. Firstly, to a British Sunday newspaper,

"I know who I am. No-one else knows who I am. If I was a giraffe and somebody said I was a snake, I'd think, 'no, actually I'm a giraffe'."

-- Richard Gere

... Makes sense to me. However, the year's most baffling quote has gone to, yes, a certain Mr. Rumsfeld. I think that I can understand even the most cryptic English even pretty well, but what he said recently takes the proverbial biscuit... Look for yourself on the Sky News page.

The Defence Secretary said: "Reports that say something hasn't happened are interesting to me, because as we know, there are known unknowns; there are things we know we know.

"We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns - the ones we don't know we don't know."

Campaign spokesman John Lister said: "We think we know what he means. But we don't know if we really know."

That even ranks higher than a quote by the new Californian Governer, a Mr. Schwarzenegger:

"I think that gay marriage is something that should be between a man and a woman"

... Which I think is a pretty good achievement in itself.

Aside from that, further proof that America = lawsuit culture: a man in New York was charged by a policeman when one of his little kid's balloons burst in the street. Apparently he was causing an "undue public disturbance"... I'd like to give an unduly publically disturbance to the stupid muppet retard policeman who issued the charge in the first place. This isn't the first time somebody's been charged for no apparent logical reason though... Check this out.

Now then, on a final note for now, just think: you probably have countless atlases and mapbooks of your country and your region, but what about the Internet hey? No? Not even one? Pfft, you internet newbie. Go get one sharpish!
