Mixer: Stanton SK5

Although this one

Aright... Things are starting to roll into motion now.

I ordered a v.92 modem from addons today, should be wicked - 8k/sec downloads instead of 4k! woohoo.

Also, getting my Voodoo 5 as soon as the cheque's cleared for 300 quid (otherwise I don't have enough in my account to write a damn cheque to send to the guy haha)... That should be even better when I get my new PC.

My motherboard's kinda dodgy at the moment - keyboard and mouse don't work sometimes on boot, I think the I/O chip on my mobo's about to pass into a better place.

So, I wonder what I'll get for my new machine... Dual Athlon XP? hehehe... That deserves a w00t just for even thinking about it. (By the way for non-mIRC users the link to w00t is a link for mIRC to go to a server and a room. The details are: chat.planetz.net, room "#w00team".

With my 782Mb RAM, Win2K Pro, 40Gb drive - or bigger, hehe - dual monitors and Voodoo 5 5500 this machine should be formidable. A Dual CPU rig would only further add to my pleasure... It's about time this baby was converted to a local test webserver for my creations. Oh, and an MP3 dump ;)

Later dudes, I'm off to catch some shut-eye in anticipation of a 6-hour gaming session at a local gaming arena - of which I designed the web site for. For FREE. D'oh... Think I could get the equivalent value of the site in free games? hehe...

Gnite gnite, don't let the Gnomies bite.

Righto links links links.

This time around, some nice (very nice) sites for modding MSN Messenger and its newest, and (as is customary from Microsoft) 3x as bloated version of MSN Messenger... Now proudly named .NET Messenger.

lame-oooooo... hehe...

"Mess With MSN Messenger" - nice site this. I like the random top images... Check it ;)
www.mess.be

Mess With MSN Messenger's Nickname Construction Kit page... another nice one.
//users.pandora.be/jos.dom/nickname.htm

[MSN|Fanatic: MSN Messenger in depth, develop now! Grimbo]

//kaos.philth.net.nz/

msn_bots... short and very very sweet :)
//www.geocities.com/brandon_2cool/msn_bots.html

MSN Messenger addon
//messenger.ipfox.com/

And now my friends, time for some random sites I picked up on my many random web browses. This time, In Opera - my Winbl0ze doesn't fux0r when I use that! (long story, involves crapped up install of IE6 ;)

Archive Of The Web - www.Archive.Org
September the 11th Web Archive

An old favourite...
//www.addons.co.uk/

An interesting page... I was told to "watch the processor temperature" when doing this... I have no idea at all what it's about. ;)

So yeah, I'm using blogBuddy (//blogbuddy.sourceforge.net) to post this from school (thank god for Proxy support hehe). Kinda rocks innit :D

Listening to some other phat Drum N' Bass streams over the broadband on the music department's PC (has sub, will listen heehee)... I'm so sad - BassDrive's streams are down until PsyOnyx gets his new server. $2800! And they've already collected about 40% of it... Not bad... I'll donate if my Solo card'll let me do that over PayPal...

I'm surfing the Shoutcast site for DnB - //www.shoutcast.com/directory/?genre=Drum and Bass - which has some good streams. 128k streams for broadband only ;)

I sincerely hope this doesn't happen...

Taken from //www.stoppoliceware.org/

WHAT IS THE SSSCA?

The SSSCA is a bill, pushed by the entertainment industry, to be proposed in Congress by Senators Fritz Hollings (D-SC) and Ted Stevens (R-Alaska). The acronym stands for "Security Systems Standards and Certification Act".

WHAT WOULD THIS LAW DO?

The law would force all new personal computers and digital home entertainment devices sold in the United States to have government-approved "policeware" built-in.

This policeware would restrict your use of copyrighted material on these devices -- including music files and CD's, video clips, DVD's, e-books, and more.

WHO COULD GO TO JAIL?

You, if you're one of the millions of Americans who uses your computers to burn music CD's, listen to MP3's, share video files, etc. You'd face up to five years in federal prison and a $500,000 fine.

Think you'd be able to get around the law by removing the policeware from your personal computer? Think again -- anyone who defies the government by disabling or tampering with the policeware on their own computer, in the privacy of their own home or business, would also face five years in the slammer.

Since alternative operating systems like Linux and FreeBSD would most likely refuse to incorporate government policeware into their code, users of these open-source systems would also be eligible for hard time.

HOW CAN WE FIGHT THIS?

If we have any hope of keeping government policeware off of our personal computers and home entertainment devices, we must act quickly and decisively.

For starters, you can sign our petition opposing the SSSCA, contact your representative in Washington, tell a friend about this site, and put a banner on your own web site.

Thanks for joining the fight.

So go on then sign the petition damnit! //www.petitiononline.com/SSSCA/petition.html
