For those of you who think personal firewalls keep you perfectly safe, think again.

Just as I've said for ages, they're pretty useless. Want me to provide some basis to this argument? Click below...

Personal Firewalls document at samspade.org

"Most Firewalls Are Snake Oil" - samspade.org

That last link's the most interesting one.

I'm only posting this all again because somebody tried to convince me the other day that Norton Personal Firewall saved them from 270 "hacks" in 2 days on their cable. Until I explained that this happens to everyone and so long as he doesn't have a trojan server on his machine then it'll be ok. I then explained what a trojan server is. And installed one. And passworded it. hehehehehe :D

Much more fun than pcAnywhere, and cuz he's on cable = always online. Fixed IP too... Although it's for his own safety, it's passworded with a 35-letter password so that other people can't use it. Basically so long as he has that trojan on there he's safe from attacks unless someone has a brute forcer and LOTS of time to wait.

l8rz,
Mista Kristfa.

So yeah, went to Nottingham today after doing my French GCSE Oral exam. Ewww remind me not to do it again in a hurry ;)

I also, while using a loo in a service station, saw a sticker on the door. It said, "Stuntface... Can your puny body survive?"

I was intrigued, and while the sticker had "www.stuntface.com" marked all over it, while surfing on our friends' puter, failed to turn up any results. So, I googled for it... And it turns out to be a punk album! yay.

//www.disclocate.com/release_pages/Stuntface.htm for the tracklisting and a link to order the album... I might just do this, it's only £6. Or $12 for you US ppl... Though I doubt anyone at all actually reads this. Heh.

Right, off a-surfing we go... Damnit I should've bought my UT CD with me. Buggerbuggerbuggerbuggerbuggerbuggerbugger. Heh.
